Overview

The Operations Manager/ Senior Engineer will support operations by leading and supporting a wide range of Civil Engineering consulting projects and initiatives. The role would also include engaging with Indigenous communities throughout Ontario.

Responsibilities
  • Experience in the civil, structural or electrical engineering, construction and telecommunications industry.
  • Progressive experience in a Consulting Engineering field serving a variety of sectors.
  • Interact with internal / external contacts as necessary for design details.
  • Knowledge of permitting processes (highway, railroad, city, county, etc.) are also highly desired.
  • Collect, interpret, and organize project engineering as well as vendor data.
  • Interface with senior personnel to resolve both potential technical and project issues.
  • Assist in compiling and maintaining internal engineering standards and work practices.
  • Coordinate with other business units to verify their project design requirements and delivery schedule.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or civil engineering
  • Minimum of Five years’ related experience in a similar or related position.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office software suite of programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an attention to detail are essential.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Hydro One Distribution Standards is preferred.
