  • Define Crave’s French news offering, ensuring that it aligns with Bell Media’s vision and objectives in Québec, and oversee its execution by the teams, ensuring a consistent multiplatform distribution strategy;
  • Generate ideas for news programs and documentary series that will help Crave stand out;
  • In collaboration with the programming team, develop content relevant to Crave’s audience and the platform’s needs;
  • Become the expert resource person for news content distributed on Crave, with a comprehensive understanding of its audience and key performance indicators;
  • Serve as executive producer for Noovo Info productions intended for Crave:
    • Hire and manage external staff and resources assigned to Crave production (producers, directors, reporters, hosts, technicians, researchers, graphic designers, etc.);
    • Set production schedules and ensure that they are followed by all stakeholders: editorial, programming, production, marketing, sales and communications;
    • Together with the senior manager of production and finance, set production budgets and ensure that they are followed;
  • Work with senior TV, digital and operations managers to develop production and distribution strategies that are aligned with the mission;
  • Build external relationships and partnerships with external producers for certain productions that require their input;
  • Stay abreast of the latest streaming trends, and be innovative by proposing formats and variations for the news environment on Crave; and
  • Perform any other related tasks.
Critical Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10years of experience managing a newsroom or news/public affairs programs, television and/or digital news content
  • Experience producing different documentary series, managing production budgets and with tax credits
  • Results-oriented leader who can effectively engage a team to achieve results
  • Ability to quickly build relationships and create partnerships with colleagues and other departments
  • Proven skills in creating and producing news programs
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations and manage tight deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, film, journalism, law or any other relevant field
  • In-depth knowledge of Québec’s ethical rules of journalism

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
