Schedule: Full-time; Tuesday to Saturday – 6am to 2pm
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transportation Manager to lead and optimize our transportation network. This individual will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing fleet and driver performance, and driving continuous improvement.
This is a key leadership position that demands strategic thinking, operational excellence, and strong people management skills. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in fleet and people management within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage transportation operations to ensure on-time, cost-effective, and safe delivery of goods.
- Oversee dispatch teams and drivers, ensuring effective use of company systems and tools (e.g., TMS, driver applications, and tracking platforms).
- Monitor trailer and equipment utilization to ensure adequate coverage and operational readiness.
- Partner with planning, HR, warehouse, and cost-control teams to ensure smooth coordination across departments.
- Lead hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management for your team.
- Maintain strong communication with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and maintain service quality.
- Oversee scheduling, vacation planning, and resource allocation to handle peak periods effectively.
- Manage and investigate service or equipment issues, including claims and compliance follow-up.
- Support budget and cost-management goals, providing reporting and insights to senior leadership.
- Ensure safety, regulatory, and environmental compliance across all transportation activities.

What You’ll Need
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- College education in business, logistics, or a related field preferred.
- 1–2 years of leadership experience in transportation, supply chain, or warehouse operations.
- Proven ability to drive process improvements and maintain service quality in a dynamic environment.
