We are a leading company in the Precision Engineering industry with factories in Singapore and Malaysia. Specializing in the design and manufacturing of high precision components for Aerospace and Semi-con industries, we are committed to innovation and operational excellence, integrating Industry 4.0 and automation to enhance our manufacturing processes.

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a background in Precision Engineeringto drive operational excellence, optimize manufacturing processes, and lead our transition towards a smart factory environment. This role is critical in ensuring high productivity, cost effectiveness, and continuous improvement in our precision engineering operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing
  • Manage the production team and motivate them to work as a team to achieve high productivity:
  • Manage production and ensure production efficiency & good quality.
  • Implement automation and industry 4.0 solutions to enhance productivity, reduce waste and improve process control.
  • Ensure the production staff use the Epicor ERP system correctly and with good discipline.
  • Monitor production processes and adjust schedules to ensure timely delivery.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of resources, including manpower, materials, and machinery.
  • Plan and arrange production schedules and loading for in house and subcontractors to eliminate bottlenecks.
  • Sourcing for good subcontractors, negotiate to obtain good price and lead time improved
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management on production performance and any issues that need addressing
  • Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components.
  • Manage inventory levels to avoid production delays.
  • Monitor and determine various staffing and training needs.
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure products meet the required specifications. Conduct in-process inspection.
  • Interact with customers as needed to address any concerns regarding product quality or delivery schedules.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting or exceeding expectations in terms of product quality and delivery timelines.
  • Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demands.
Engineering (Process planning, programming & product costing)
  • Manage the engineering team to meet delivery commitment and ensure the team to produce high quality services:
  • Ensure detail process plans/routers/programs for all production parts and design clamping fixtures and special tooling are prepared in advanced
  • Support customer technical review and support RFQ
  • Provide costing analysis, calculation and estimate of cost of production to support quotation.
  • Handle and monitor all customer NPI project
  • Planning, process optimization and executing strategies for all projects
Continuous Improvements
  • Adhere closely to the ISO 9000 management system and drive continuous improvements in production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce wastes.
  • Implement process improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles and other best practices.
  • Make full use of the Epicor ERP system for analysis and maintain accurate records of production data, including output, quality metrics, and downtime.
  • Drive cost and lead time reduction and cost saving activities.
  • Conduct regular audits and ensure that all ISO procedures are being practised with no deviations especially for aerospace parts.
