Overview

MSCP is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Operations Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is central to the operation, preventive maintenance, and repair of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems that support MSCP’s manufacturing, office, and shop facilities in Sherwood Park. The Technician will play a key part in keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently, ensuring that critical systems perform reliably and safely in support of our continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems supporting manufacturing, shop, and office operations
  • Conduct routine inspections and monitoring of critical systems to ensure safety, compliance, and operational reliability
  • Respond promptly to maintenance issues, troubleshooting and repairing systems to minimize downtime
  • Support operational improvements by identifying opportunities to optimize equipment performance and efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, work completed, and system performance data
  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and implementing maintenance programs that support MSCP’s growth objectives
  • Collaborate with operations staff to ensure facilities and equipment are aligned with evolving business needs
Requirements
  • Journeyman HVAC Technician or equivalent Red Seal certification preferred; broad mechanical and electrical maintenance experience considered an asset
  • 3–5 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, or facilities maintenance
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with building automation / control systems (BAS)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive, team-oriented approach
