The successful candidate will bring a balance of strategic thinking and practical execution to ensure that every aspect of operations supports Peace By Chocolate’s high standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

For an experienced operations professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a company that values culture as much as performance.

What you’ll be doing
  • Lead and support a small team of 2 employees, fostering accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee shipping operations, including both parcel and pallet shipments through carriers such as Canada Post, UPS, and FedEx.
  • Manage receiving activities, ensuring accurate materials intake, documentation, and organization.
  • Maintain and monitor inventory levels, perform regular stock counts, and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
  • Support procurement functions by monitoring reorder points, safety stock levels, and supplier coordination.
  • Utilize systems such as ShipStation and/or MRP or manual inventory control systems to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Uphold compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations, contributing to HACCP, SQF, and OHS standards.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve warehouse layout, and strengthen interdepartmental communication.
  • Contribute to seasonal planning and ensure adequate resources and staffing for high‑volume shipping periods.
What we are looking for

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on operational leader with experience managing logistics, inventory, and production flow in a fast‑paced environment.

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably within the Food & Beverage industry.
  • A post‑secondary diploma or degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage day‑to‑day operations while leading and motivating a small team.
  • Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, procurement, and inventory control processes.
  • Familiarity with health & safety regulations and food safety standards (HACCP, SQF, GMP, OHS).
  • Experience with ShipStation and inventory management systems (MRP or manual systems).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to handle a large and diverse product mix (200+ SKUs).
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to be based in Antigonish, NS (or relocate).

We embrace a culture of belonging in the workplace. No matter who you are, where you’re from, how you think, what you believe in, or who you love, we welcome your application.
