Our Substation group is currently looking to add an Operations Financial Analyst to our growing team, based in Calgary, AB.

Reporting to the Vice President of Substations and Renewables (with a dotted-line relationship to the Director of Project Controls & Analytics) we are seeking a strong communicator with experience working with large data sets and the ability to translate data into meaningful insights. This role serves as a bridge between financial data and divisional leaders, ensuring that information is clearly understood and effectively leveraged to support project tracking, reporting, forecasting, and rate development within operations.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly reports, income statements, and analyze divisional transactions
  • Build and maintain weekly Project Controls Reporting
  • Work with operations to forecast project costs
  • Integrate JDE data and coordinate updates with project managers
  • Analyze KPIs and provide insights to project teams
  • Consolidate project data into weekly summaries for leadership
  • Support monthly financial and manpower forecasting across multiple divisions
  • Provide crew productivity analysis for various options during bid and construction process planning
  • Assist in developing wage structures and custom labor and equipment rates
Requirements
  • Post-Secondary Education in Accounting, Engineering, Finance, or Business
  • 4 years of financial analysis, project controls, or related experience
  • Proven understanding of financial reporting, forecasting, and project accounting principles
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
Preferred Skills / Qualifications
  • Experience with JDE, Ecosys, Power BI or Incorta
  • Currently enrolled in the CPA program, working towards designation
  • Previous Construction Industry experience
