Overview

Randstad is now looking for a temporary Operations Assistant for our client in Nanaimo. Are you a self-motivated, excellent communicator and organized individual? This role is a combination of customer services and general Admin work.


The scope of work is diverse, and we require a multi-talented individual to be part of our busy team, our professional, small office culture is supportive and team-oriented. Job type : contract temporary position


Working hours : 8:30 am – 4:30 pm


Dates : 1 year contract


Salary : $21.95 / hour


Summary : 1 year contract

Responsibilities


  • Receive and greet all visitors in a professional and warm manner

  • Answer the phone, direct calls, accurately receive and relay messages, processing and distributing mails

  • Ensure professional and friendly interactions with internal and external customers.

  • Accounts payable / receivable experience, daily bank deposits.

  • Perform data-entry, documentation, printing and filing duties

  • Ensuring delivered equipment is organized and labelled

  • Providing overall support to the running of the office

  • Admin support projects as designated


Qualifications


  • 2+ years of experience in an Receptionist / administrative or clerical assistant role

  • Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Outlook experience

  • Excellent typing skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Deadline and detail-oriented
