Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse in Canada in good standing and eligible for registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
• Completion of a post graduate operating room course or two years' recent experience in an equivalent setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Incorporate teaching into care plans to educate patients and families.
• Make referrals to resources as needed.
• Support fellow healthcare professionals.
• Monitor patient/resident progress and evaluate outcomes.
