Our manufacturing operations teams are the people who make our products. We work in manufacturing plants with the principle “safety first, quality always” and strive for continuous improvement. We operate in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediate, and finished products.

Production Operator:
Location: Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec
Shift: Night

Main responsibilities and activities (English)
  • Understand and comply with company procedures regarding health, safety, and environment.
  • Use a laser marking station, laser/inkjet, or electronic identification system to mark livestock identification tags according to the standardized operating procedure.
  • Train new employees in a buddy system to perform tasks at all levels below the level for which the laser operator has been qualified.
  • Perform marking of livestock identification tags that meet engineering and customer requirements.
  • Monitor and take prompt action, including temporarily stopping the workstation, when operational malfunctions are observed that could compromise the quality of the tags produced. When the workstation is stopped, act quickly to get assistance to correct the malfunction and restart the workstation as soon as possible.
  • Be able to maintain necessary and acceptable daily production as established according to the task performed and the machine used.
Required skills (English)
  • Experience using a desktop computer, including the ability to operate a mouse, retrieve a file, and demonstrate the ability to acquire new basic computer skills.
  • Proficiency in basic math skills such as counting, processing numbers, addition, and subtraction.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Fluency in French is required.

  • Comprendre et se conformer aux procédures de la société en ce qui concerne la santé, la sécurité et l’environnement.

Compétences requises (français)

  • Expérience dans l’utilisation d’un ordinateur de bureau, y compris la capacité de faire fonctionner une souris et d’extraire un fichier et de démontrer sa capacité à acquérir de nouvelles compétences informatiques de base.
  • Maîtrise des compétences de base en mathématiques telles que compter, traiter les chiffres, additionner et soustraire.
  • Un diplôme d’études secondaires ou l’équivalent est requis.
  • La maîtrise du français est requise.
