  • Demonstrated experience with the ECC (Engineering Change Control) process.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience in the nuclear, power generation, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Strong technical writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a qualified Design Engineer with our client’s Design Engineering experience in the ECC (Engineering Change Control) process to join our teams.

  • Lead and/or support the development, review, and implementation of engineering design changes, modifications, and upgrades in accordance with our client’s ECC process.
  • Prepare, review, and approve engineering documents, including specifications, calculations, drawings, and technical reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory and our client’s standards.
  • Perform technical assessments, field walkdowns, and evaluations to support project scope development and problem resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Operations, Maintenance, Projects, and external vendors—to ensure successful delivery of engineering solutions.
  • Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
  • Ensure all engineering work is conducted with a focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and lessons learned for operational events or equipment failures.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all design activities and changes.
  • Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and risk assessments as required.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to our client’s values and standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, or Instrumentation & Controls) from a recognized institution.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario, or eligible for PEO registration.
  • Demonstrated experience with the ECC (Engineering Change Control) process.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience in the nuclear, power generation, or heavy industrial sectors.
