Interior Health Authority is seeking a therapeutic recreation professional to work on-site in Trail, BC. The role requires 2 years to less than 3 years of experience and English language proficiency, with credentials in therapeutic recreation/recreational therapy.

The successful candidate will collaborate with other health care professionals, assess patients, and develop and implement tailored treatment plans. Accreditation with the appropriate professional association is required.

Qualifications

• Languages: English.
• Education includes College/CEGEP and Therapeutic recreation/recreational therapy credentials.
• Accreditation or registration with the appropriate national, provincial or territorial professional association.

Responsabilités

• Consult with other health care professionals to evaluate treatment plans.
• Interview patients.
• Record observations.
• Review reports from health care professionals to determine patients’ current and potential functioning levels.
• Write progress reports.
• Prepare a treatment plan for each patient.
• Implement treatment plans.
• Initiate, design and implement specialized therapy programs.
