Job summary

A leading online learning platform is seeking an English Second Language Teacher to provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for K-12 students in Ottawa, Canada. You will prepare lesson materials and communicate with students and parents in a professional manner. This entry-level, part-time role requires a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years of teaching experience in math, ELA, or SAT prep. Flexibility and enthusiasm are essential, along with a reliable internet connection.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 in math, ELA, or SAT prep.
• Experience with K-12 ELA/Math standards.
• Teaching license preferred but not required.
• Fast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC.
• Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students.
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability.
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner.
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting.
