Overview

Heritage Christian Online School (HCOS) is a thriving K-12 learning community offering home, in-class and online education to students across British Columbia. With flexible programs and personalized learning, HCOS partners with families to support every child’s unique learning journey.

Position

We are seeking dynamic Student Success Centre (SSC) Online EA – Numeracy & Sciences, working 10 hours per week for the 2025/26 school year. The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for one-on-one support in numeracy and science with preferred additional skills in literacy and executive functioning. This candidate will work collaboratively to ensure that all aspects of the working relationship between the other SSC EAs, IE Case Manager, Innovations Program Teachers are providing optimal student support for Grades 5-12 in math and science through the Student Success Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate and communicate with IE AA, SSC Coordinator and EAs to promote mission, vision, values, and schoolwide goals to enhance student learning and success
  • Complete EA reporting in Encom on a daily and weekly basis
  • Collect data and monitor students, ongoing after each student meeting
  • Occasionally complete write-ups in collaboration with the SSC Coordinator for school-wide blog posts about the SSC
  • Participate in and deliver workshops during Innovations Orientation Week (March)
  • Any other reasonable task associated with serving our internal and external stakeholders (EAs, CMs, and their students/families)
Qualifications
  • A commitment to, and lifestyle reflective of, the KCCS Foundational Beliefs
  • Knowledge of IE and/or EA experience required
  • Previous EA, tutoring, or experience supporting students from grades 5-12 specifically in math and science is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and flexibility to manage multiple tasks to ensure scheduled deadlines are met
  • Eager to think beyond traditional modalities of education and to be a part of creating something new
  • Ability to be discreet and manage confidential information sensitively
  • Demonstrate alignment in supporting team goals over individual aims
