Job summary

AstraZeneca Canada is recruiting for a 12-month paid internship positioned in Mississauga. You will support strategic and tactical brand planning for the GI Oncology Franchise, partnering with marketing and cross-functional teams to advance 2027 priorities and promotional material development.

Role emphasizes data analysis, benchmarking and coordination, with opportunities to engage across Medical, Diagnostics, Sales and Marketing. Flexible onsite/virtual work available.

Qualifications

  • University degree or higher in a relevant field (Business, Science).
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; solutions oriented.
  • Ability to participate in collaborative teamwork.
  • Strong communication skills: writing and presentation.
  • Self-starter, initiative, ability to work in dynamic environments.
  • Available to work from January 2027 to December 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Support the strategic and tactical brand planning processes across the GI Oncology Franchise.
  • Partner closely with the marketing and cross-functional teams to support key 2027 priorities across the GI Oncology Franchise, including MATTERHORN commercialization, expanded digital engagement in BTC, development of a new uHCC plan, and CLARITY-related initiatives based on evolving business needs.
  • Work closely with marketing colleagues in the development and execution of promotional materials and activities.
  • Support the cross-functional team to deliver key projects by gathering and analyzing data, contributing in meetings and executing various tasks.
  • Creatively and analytically develop solutions to issues with a focus on simplification initiatives.
  • Develop competitive benchmarking and conduct clinical reviews of comparative products with the marketing team.
  • Support in sales meeting development, workshop execution, and training initiatives.
  • Coordinate AstraZeneca Oncology presence at National and International medical conferences with cross-functional teams.
  • Act as a liaison between sales and head office Marketing to bring insights into action.
  • Support GI team culture and engagement initiatives to strengthen connection and belonging.

  • Leading the coordination of the AstraZeneca Oncology presence at National and International medical conferences, including working with Medical, Diagnostics, Sales, Access and Marketing to ensure a coordinated plan
  • Serving as a key liaison between the sales team and the head office Marketing team to bring insights into action
  • Support GI team culture and engagement initiatives that strengthen connection, belonging and team identity, including pulse checks, internal communications, recognition activities and other culture-building programs.

What to Expect:

This role is a 12-month paid contract position, which starts in January 2026 and will end in December 2027. Our position will be based in our Mississauga head office and allow for flexible working arrangements working both onsite and virtually.

Annual base salary for this position ranges from 42,908.00 to 56,316.75.

AstraZeneca is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs. In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.

In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role).
