Job description

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the full-time Digitalization Specialist in Toronto we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your digital process management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative and collaborative teammates.

You’ll play a central role in reducing the carbon footprint of Canada’s busiest public transit system by driving digital transformation within the field operations value chain. Day‑to‑day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Team, local Installation, Testing & Commissioning, Quality Assurance, and PMO teams), lead deployment initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the OnCorr program.

You’ll specifically take care of defining the digitalization landscape and requirements for onboard installation activities, but also ensure training and support for end-users to adopt and optimize digital solutions.

We’ll look to you for:
  • Defining local business roles and processes to align with digital solutions
  • Leading deployment steps and collaborating with local and deployment teams
  • Providing training to end-users and planning follow‑up sessions
  • Managing access and permissions for digital tools
  • Participating in periodic calls and workshops with the Deployment Central Team
  • Updating master data, including activity planning, instructions, and drawings
  • Monitoring digital solutions post‑GO‑Live and addressing incidents or defects
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and sharing best practices
  • Evaluating the impact of digital solution changes and developing action plans
All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • University degree in engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable technical field (a master’s degree is an asset)
  • 5+ years of experience in digital process management, field installation, or industrialization – ideally in the railway, automotive, or manufacturing industries
  • Strong knowledge of digital technologies and data management (structuring, cleaning, maintaining)
  • Understanding of project management processes, railway products, and systems
  • Appetite for digital and business process solutions implementation
  • Ability to lead change and support others in adapting to new processes
  • Knowledge of Power BI and programming languages (Python, R, SQL, VBA)
  • Strong skills in KPIs generation, standardization, analysis, and governance
  • Fluent in English
  • Willingness to work both in‑office and on‑site (railway depot)
Things you’ll enjoy
  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long‑term career free from boring daily routines
  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling
  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues
  • Contribute to innovative projects
  • Utilise our dynamic and inclusive working environment
  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award‑winning learning
  • Progress towards leadership or technical expert roles
  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
