Job summary

The Ledcor Group is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Quality Inspector to implement and maintain a top-tier quality program on-site. You will coordinate field inspections, manage ITPs, and support the Project QA/QC Manager to ensure codes and design specs are met.

Qualifications

• Electrical / Instrumentation trade certification or diploma.
• Minimum 4 yrs+ related experience.
• Proven ability to manage quality procedures and processes.
• Ability to perform inspections per ITPs and code requirements.
• Interpret engineering specs, drawings and installation details.
• Interpret Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
• Strong communication, verbal and written.
• Team-oriented, dependable and professional.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and walkdown electrical instrumentation systems to verify compliance with codes, regulations and design.
• Coordinate third party testing/inspections and provide status updates.
• Perform inspections during construction and prepare reports.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Review, understand and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Communicate with vendor and QA representatives on hold/witness points.
• Report quality issues and document appropriately.
• Provide training on project requirements related to expertise.
• Understand and interpret contract documents, codes of construction and regulatory standards.
