Job summary

SKYGRiD is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for construction in the GTA to support project teams on active sites, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget. The role includes mentoring junior staff and maintaining strong client relationships.

You will coordinate with subs, drive safety, manage costs, and assist in scheduling and planning with the Project Superintendent. Experience in construction and proficiency with MS Office/Project are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating budgets, schedules, and stakeholders is required.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for client interfaces and team mentoring.
• Familiarity with safety programs and construction industry standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Project Manager and team on assigned sites.
• Manage budgets, costs, schedule, quality, and overall project status with accuracy.
• Advise senior management on risks, conflicts, and recovery options.
• Coordinate and communicate with all subcontractors and resolve delivery, labor, and schedule issues.
• Maintain relationships with trade contractors, architects, consultants, and clients.
• Assist with planning construction projects and creating schedules with the Project Superintendent.
• Prepare contract drawings and specifications for construction.
• Produce timely billings and ensure subcontractor payments.
• Monitor material and labor costs and report on quality.
• Lead and document project meetings efficiently.
• Support SKYGRiD's Safety Program to ensure a safe work environment.
