  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Act as project or site supervisor for land survey or construction work.
  • Conduct site visits to gather relevant information.
  • Conduct technical analyses of survey and field data.
  • Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team.
  • Develop construction specifications and procedures.
  • Ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications.
  • Establish and monitor construction work schedules.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials.
  • Interpret, review and approve survey and civil design work.
  • Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders.
  • Supervise technicians and other engineers.
