Job summary

University of Ottawa is seeking Teaching Assistants for the winter term to support the course Dessin industriel et seminars en génie civil (CVG1507) at the Main Campus. Positions involve direct student contact, grading, and proctoring with hours negotiated with the supervising professor.

Three positions are available for January 2027 through April 2027. Work is in person on campus, with rates per hour depending on student status (undergraduate vs graduate) and a bilingual workplace environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of the course and industrial drawing.
• Strong communication skills in French is essential.
• Bilingualism is an asset; familiarity with academic settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interact with students and assist with assignments and seminars.
• Grade work and assist with exam preparation and proctoring.
• Other duties as negotiated with the supervising professor.
