Qualifications

• Safe driving is essential; valid provincial driver's licence (Class 5 or G) required.
• Satisfactory driving record; driver's abstract may be requested.
• Experience delivering mail and operating a vehicle in varied conditions.
• Vehicle must meet necessary capacity and features (min 50 cu ft, auto, power windows).
• Automobile liability insurance for personal vehicle used for Canada Post.
• Residence within 75 km of Wiarton Post Office preferred.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Sort, collect, and deliver mail items in a safe and timely manner
• Acquire knowledge of local roads, customers, and delivery receptacles
• Secure mail properly while on the route
• Process CPC products and services including Change of Address Notifications, Damaged Mail, and Items Delivered Bills (IDB)
• Wear Canada Post identification at all times while delivering and collecting mail
• Lift and carry items up to 50 lb / 22.7 kg
• Operate a motor vehicle safely in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions
