Job summary

Canada Post is seeking dependable, organized individuals for on-call rural and suburban mail carrier duties in Ilderton, Ontario. The role involves delivering mail, sorting and handling parcels, and maintaining safety and accuracy in all tasks.

You will operate in various weather conditions, respect local routes, and wear Canada Post identification while performing duties. The position requires a valid driver’s license (class 5 or G) and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Have a satisfactory safe driving record (driver's abstract required).
• Possess a valid permanent provincial driver’s license - class 5 or G.

Responsibilities

• Sort, collect and deliver mail in a safe and timely manner.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of local infrastructure including roads, customers and delivery receptacles.
• Ensure mail is safely secured in their possession.
• Process CPC products and services (Change of Address Notification, Damaged Mail, Items Delivered Bill and others).
• Wear Canada Post identification while on delivery and ensure visibility.
• Lift and carry items up to 50 lb/22.7 kg.
• Have experience delivering and operating a motor vehicle in various weather/traffic conditions.
