Canada Post is seeking an on-call Post Office Assistant who will use a customer-focused approach when providing counter services to customers. The ideal candidate should reside in the community; applicants outside the community may be considered as needed.

Responsibilities include selling postal products and services to the business community and public, sorting mail, providing customers with information and forms, and addressing delivery issues to resolve problems quickly.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent and/or experience in business administration.
• Experience interacting with the public in retail/service environments, including sales and cash transactions.
• Understanding of general or post office accounting systems.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lb, push/pull boxes, and stand for extended periods; flexible for temporary/on-call work.
