Job summary

Canada Post is seeking an on-call Post Office Assistant to provide counter services with a customer-focused approach in Crescent Valley, BC. The role supports selling postal products and handling mail processing and inquiries.

As an on-call, term position, you should be able to lift up to 50 lb, assist customers, and work with flexibility for temporary assignments in the community. The position pays $20.54 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school or provincial equivalency or experience in business administration.
• Experience interacting with the public in a retail or service environment including sales and cash transactions.
• Understanding of general or post office accounting systems.
• Physically fit to lift mail containers up to 50 lb, push/pull boxes, stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Sell postal products and services to business community and public.
• Sort, distribute and process mail into appropriate classifications.
• Provide customers with information and forms.
• Address delivery and service difficulties to resolve problems thoroughly and quickly.
