A school district in Canada is seeking an On-Call Indigenous Support Worker to aid Indigenous students. Sunshine Coast School District is expecting vacancies for Indigenous Support Workers. We are now accepting applications to add to our Indigenous Support Worker casual on-call list and to fill temporary positions and absences for Indigenous Support Workers. Successful candidates will have a Grade 12 education, certification as an Education Assistant (including CPI training and current first aid certification), and recent experience working with Indigenous students. Preference will be given to candidates with Indigenous ancestry (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit). Knowledge of sháshishálhem and shíshálh culture are an asset.
