Job summary

A local school district in Prince George is looking for Casual Education Assistants to support teachers and assist students with academic and behavioral activities. The position requires a Grade 12 education, plus six relevant college/university courses. Candidates should have experience with children with exceptional needs and the ability to communicate effectively. This is an on-call position with an hourly wage of $30.97 starting July 1, 2024.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience with children or youth with exceptional needs.
• Ability to operate school and/or personalized equipment.
• Ability to follow directions in regard to individualized education plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in gaining independence in specific life skills.
• Accompany students to community access activities.
• Observe students and record observations.
