Job summary

Lethbridge MCC Thrift in Lethbridge, Alberta, is seeking cashiers to provide friendly customer service and handle cash register transactions.

Job description

Cashiers are an important role as they represent Lethbridge MCC Thrift in all their interactions with customers.

Our shop sells quality, repaired/cleaned and tested donated items at reasonable prices to raise funds to contribute to local community service projects as well as the work of global partners for relief, development and peace.

We are on a bus route, and volunteers take breaks as needed in the lunchroom where coffee, tea, iced tea and snacks are provided.

This opportunity is also suitable for individuals who are intermediate in English.

• Accurately process purchases of customers at the cash register, including giving back correct change.
• Provide friendly customer service.
• Assist customers if needed.
• Help maintain an organized and clean shop environment.
• Assist with displays as needed.
• Receive feedback from customers in a positive manner and call manager when needed.

16 years old or above
