Job summary
A leading offshore service company in Canada is currently hiring a 4th Engineer for a temporary position starting November 19th, 2025. The role requires a Canadian Fourth-Class Engineer License and involves maintaining safety and efficiency in the Engine Room, supervising crew, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Candidates should have previous offshore experience and excellent communication skills, with the aim to foster workforce diversity.
Qualifications
- Must pass Physical, Drug Screen and Background/Pre-Employment Screening Checks.
- Valid Marine Advanced First Aid or Marine Basic First Aid required within 3 Years.
- H2S Alive and WHMIS certifications needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe Engine Room watch and monitor machinery performance.
- Perform planned maintenance activities as instructed by the Chief Engineer.
- Supervise Oilers and ensure cleaning station tasks are performed.
- Carry out safety procedures as assigned by the Chief Engineer.
Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Structured and organized mindset
Previous offshore experience
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Canadian Fourth-Class Engineer License (Unlimited) or Higher
STCW Basic Safety, Survival Craft and Advanced Fire Fighting
Passenger Safety Management Certificate
