Responsibilities

Under the direction of Security Department supervisors and managers, incumbent provides security coverage ensuring that adequate protection is provided for the safety of patrons and team members. Safeguards the assets of the organization, as well as those of its guests and team members. Promotes an outgoing, friendly guest-oriented demeanor at all times.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Alcohol Gaming Commission Ontario (AGCO).
  • Ensures that proper security is provided for all transfers of monies within the facility.
  • Assist patrons with a wide variety of inquiries and situations including providing information about the property and events, giving directions and possibly escorting them if needed.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports in a clear and precise manner.
  • Patrol the casino areas to establish a security presence and report all unusual situations and/or suspicious activity.
  • Assist in the coordination and resolution of emergency situations.
  • Assist in maintaining proper key control and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations.
  • Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion.
  • Ensure prompt and discreet notification to managers of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics concerns.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
  • Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock their choice for gaming entertainment; actively building and retaining guest relations and acting as a mentor to team members to provide superior guest service.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent is required and a minimum of one (1) year of guest service experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. One (1) year of security related experience preferred.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to walk distances.
  • The employee must frequently lift/push/pull and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions
  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a highly regulated and controlled environment, but there will be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor to complete job functions as outlined or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise.
