Department of Family Medicine, Palliative Care unit

Position Summary

The Incumbent will provide administrative support to the Palliative Care unit in the following tasks:

  • Perform data entry for advances/expense reports & payment requests
  • McGill Market Place (MMP): requisition submission, putting orders through MMP
  • PCard: verify if vendor exists in MMP before requesting PCard payment
  • Travel Arrangement: request quotes for tickets, and make hotel reservations, filling out FOAPAL forms
  • Sponsorship Agreements: fill out sponsorship agreements template, gather signatures
  • Accounts Receivable: submit billing questionnaire for sponsors, request detail code, and client ID
  • Journals: process corrections in Banner
  • Archiving: keep proper records of all transactions internally
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

Attention to detail. Able to accurately enter data and interpret financial documents like expense reports and payment requests. Comfortable with organizing files, submitting forms, and keeping records up to date. Familiar with McGill Market Place, Minerva and Banner. Able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment. Can communicate clearly when requesting quotes, gathering signatures, or coordinating with vendors. Able to follow procedures and troubleshoot small issues. Willing to assist colleagues and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

Note: Before applying, you must be authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located.

Language and Language Proficiency

Knowledge of English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.
