Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant administrative work experience, preferably in the transportation industry.
  • Bilingualism (FR and EN) would be considered an asset.
  • Energy, enthusiasm and professional demeanor are must.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and handle drop-offs.
  • Complete Time & Attendance for Company employees.
  • Work closely with Midland Drivers to ensure all delivery & pickups are finalized on time.
  • Order office supplies and handle petty cash.

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Full-Time Office Administrator to be based at our Truro Terminal. The selected candidate will provide reliable support and maintain seamless office operations at the terminal. The preferred candidate is a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a "Can Do" attitude.

Qualifications
  • Education Required: Minimum High School or College Diploma

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
  • Customer Service experience and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of AS400 would be considered an asset

Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and handle drop-offs
  • Complete Time & Attendance for Company employees
  • Enter and submit payroll
  • Work closely with Midland Drivers to ensure all delivery & pickups are finalized professionally on time
  • POD and P&D time entry
  • File paperwork, and complete various reports such as OS&D etc.
  • Work closely with Dispatch to audit and fix errors on AS400
  • Order office supplies and handle petty cash
  • Provide Superior Quality Service to our internal and external customers at all times
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned
