Job description

Our client, a well-established organization located in Halifax, NS seeking an exceptional Office Administrator to provide high-level administrative support during an unexpected leave of absence. This is a 1-month contract with potential for an extension or to go permanent.

  • Compensation: $21 to $23/hour
  • Please note, this role will be fully on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to office staff
  • Handle gatekeeping duties: answering, screening, and directing calls
  • Assist with document editing, writing, and formatting
  • Ensure high levels of accuracy in data entry and correspondence
  • Maintain organized filing systems and office processes
  • Interface with clients and handle inquiries with professionalism
  • Support occasional graphic design needs (Mailchimp, Adobe, etc., if applicable)

Qualifications

  • Must have over 1 year of office administration experience with excellent multitasking ability
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Excellent grammar, writing, and editing skills
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and/or Mailchimp is an asset
  • Comfortable working in a small, dynamic team environment
