Our Ideal Candidate

Allnorth is currently looking for an excellent communicator to join our Nanaimo team as our new Office Administrator. Your new role will be responsible for a broad range of administrative tasks such as greeting visitors, answering phones, managing office supplies, coordination of office events, travel coordination, electronic filing, tracking data for expenses, and vehicle logs. This is a part‑time role with about 24hrs a week.

A Day in the Life
  • Reception of people for the Nanaimo team
  • You will process routine documents, incoming and outgoing mail, courier, and other correspondence.
  • You will be involved in equipment and fleet management,
  • Document management and filing
  • Accounts Payable invoicing
  • Administer security system
  • Manage kitchen and organize office
  • General office duties as directed by the Leadership Team
What You'll Bring to the Team
  • You have or are working towards a Business or Administration diploma (preferred, but not required)
  • 2 to 5 years of general office administration experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • You are a team player and enjoy working in a fast paced environment that focuses on collaboration, encouragement, inclusion, and possess customer service skills to delight our Clients.
  • You are talented at managing expectations and your own time, while being personable, helpful, and willing to lean into the culture Allnorth has established.
  • You are a highly organized individual and pay attention to detail while demonstrating an ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly.
  • You aspire to join a company that is focused on social and environmental stewardship, and you’re interested in working in a position that has growth and career building opportunities.
  • You possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Teams, and Excel
  • Previous experience in an engineering consulting environment, would be considered an asset.
  • Flexible work schedule, as you will be supporting personnel working on sites that often work 12 hours/day, 365 days/year.
