  • NOC Job Code/Title: 42202 - infants' daycare worker
  • Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
  • Wage: $20.00~$25.00/hour (depending on experience)
  • Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
  • Number of Positions: 3
  • Work Location: 13639 104 Avenue, Surrey, BC V3T 1W3
  • 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

  • Lead daily activities by telling stories, reading books
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that foster and enhance the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth of children
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
  • Create and maintain an environment that ensures the safety, health, and well-being of children
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
  • Supervise and suggest activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
  • Build and sustain collaborative relationships with other employees
  • Detect the signs of potential learning or behavioral problems of children and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
  • Address progress and problems of children at staff meetings
  • Evaluate the interests and needs of children and engage in conversations with parents and other staff members about their progress or any challenges they may be facing

Job requirements:

  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required
  • Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, E.C.E. Certificate, and IT Certificate
