Octopus Academy Richmond is looking for F/T Infants’ Daycare Workers.
  • NOC Job Code/Title: 42202 - infants' daycare worker
  • Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
  • Wage: $20.00~$25.00/hour (depending on experience)
  • Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
  • Number of Positions: 3
  • 4% vacation pay
  • Dental & Extended health care plan

Job Duties:

  • Lead daily activities by telling stories, reading books
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that foster and enhance the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth of children
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
  • Establish and uphold an environment that guarantees the safety, health, and overall welfare of children
  • Assist and lead children in the development of appropriate eating, dressing, and toileting habits
  • Supervise and offer activity recommendations to early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
  • Build and maintain cooperative relationships with other staff members
  • Recognize potential signs of learning or behavioral issues in children and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
  • Present children’s progress and challenges in staff meetings
  • Evaluate the interests and needs of children, engaging in discussions with parents and staff members regarding their progress and any obstacles they might be encountering

Job requirements:
