Job summary

Interior Health Authority in Penticton is hiring Casual Occupational Therapists to support community rehabilitation clients in Penticton and Summerland.

The OT works independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team across inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community settings, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapy programs to promote functional independence and optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapy programs to promote functional independence and optimal health outcomes.
• Provide consultation, education, and support to clients and their caregivers.
• Prescribe and recommend appropriate equipment to enhance daily living.
• Participate in program planning, quality assurance initiatives, research, and departmental meetings.
• Offer guidance and work direction to rehabilitation assistants regarding transfer of function.

Job description

We are hiring for Casual Occupational Therapists at the Penticton Health Centre to support community rehabilitation clients in Penticton and Summerland.

Days of Work: Monday to Friday on a casual as needed basis

Shift times/Hours of work: 08:00 to 16:00

About The Role

The Occupational Therapist works independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, and may be providing a full range of occupational therapy services across inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community settings.
