Qualifications:

  • Registration with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists (in good standing)
  • Accepting new graduates
  • 1-3 years of experience is an asset
  • Experience with clients with physical, mental health, or neurological conditions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience supporting occupational rehabilitation is a strong asset
  • Experience with auto insurance, long-term disability, and WSIB referrals is a strong asset
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Educating clients on pacing, pain management, cognitive strategies, and task modification
  • Collaborating with physiotherapists, kinesiologists, psychotherapists, physicians, and psychologists
  • Participating in case conferences and case management
  • Supporting return-to-work programs
  • Using e-charting software for documentation and timely report submission
  • Managing caseload in a fast-paced environment
