Job summary

Community Advantage Rehabilitation (CAR), a Spectrum Health Care Company, seeks Registered Occupational Therapists to deliver ministry-funded services to adult clients in the community. Role offers flexible part-time or full-time opportunities with per-visit compensation and annual earnings potential of CAD 82,000–102,000.

Independent contractors will assess, plan, and implement client-centred interventions, with hybrid caseloads and potential virtual visits.

Qualifications

• Registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO).
• Ability to work independently within a community-based model.
• Experience in community practice is an asset, but new graduates are welcome.
• Valid G or G2 driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle for community travel.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including MS Office Suite and proprietary clinical software.

Responsibilities

• Provide ministry-funded, community-based occupational therapy services in clients’ homes and/or through virtual care.
• Conduct occupational therapy assessments using interviews, standardized tools, and informal assessment techniques.
• Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans in collaboration with clients and caregivers.
• Assign, supervise, and monitor occupational therapy assistants as appropriate.
• Educate clients and caregivers and connect them with relevant community agencies and resources.
• Complete funding applications when required.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and professional documentation.

Compensation is per visit, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality, client-centred care. Estimated annual earning potential is between $82,000 - $102,000, however actual earnings may vary based on service volumes.
