Job summary

CarePartners is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team in Sudbury, ON and surrounding areas. The role offers self‑scheduling with flexible hours and opportunity to expand our therapy program in the community.

The OT will coordinate care, conduct assessments in home settings, and develop care plans in collaboration with the care team. Requires OT degree, registration, and strong English communication; travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized university.
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Proven computer skills, including email, MS Word and Outlook, work scheduling systems.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • French language skills are an asset.
  • A reliable vehicle for some regular travel.
  • Clear Background and Vulnerable Sector Check.

Responsibilities

  • Provides coordination, supervision, and coaching to the Community Support Workers in the field.
  • Professional assessment of patients in the community and in their homes.
  • Develops and maintains an effective Care Plan with respect to Community Health Services, independently or in cooperation with the Ontario Health atHome.
  • Works with the patient on appropriate time‑specific, measurable goals and outcomes in collaboration with the care team.
  • Works independently and as an integral member of an interdisciplinary care team.
  • Provides active guidance for workplace Health and Safety.
  • Performs other duties as required

  • This position offers a competitive compensation grid, with progression based on hours worked and role‑specific criteria. The OT per visit range is $74.48 to $86.85and the hourly range is $37.23 to $43.41. Placement within the grid will be determined in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as the candidate’s knowledge, skills, qualifications, and relevant experience.

What The Role Involves

What You Bring
  • Master’s Degree (or equivalent) degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized university

  • Strong assessment skills and the ability to participate in effective treatment programs
  • Provide one‑on‑one therapeutic support with clients
  • Promotes independence of the client in the home and in the community
  • A reliable vehicle for some regular travel
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • French language skills are an asset
