Job summary

CannAmm is hiring an Occupational Testing Collector in Edmonton to join our on-site Collections team. You will perform alcohol and drug testing at client sites or our collection site, uphold confidentiality, and maintain service integrity.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma (additional certifications are a plus) and are willing to travel locally. On-call availability for evenings/weekends and strong English communication are required to deliver a trusted client experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Preference for Audiometric, Spirometry and/or Phlebotomy Technician Certificates.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional client experience with confidential, respectful handling of interactions.
  • Perform in-office drug and alcohol testing including sample collection and documentation.
  • Coordinate and communicate service bookings and on-site testing logistics.

As an Occupational Testing Collector, you will be part of a professional, reliable, and best‑in‑class team that ensures every client feels secure, valued, and respected throughout the testing process. Your responsibilities include alcohol and drug testing, as well as other occupational health services—delivered either at our collection site or via our mobile testing unit. You will help foster a positive team culture, maintain service excellence, and contribute to safer workplaces through trusted customer service and operational integrity.

How YOU will make a difference:

  • Deliver an exceptional client experience by ensuring all individuals feel secure, valued, and respected throughout every interaction and process.
  • Perform in‑office drug and alcohol testing, including sample collection, integrity checks, documentation, and shipping of specimens.
  • May conduct additional occupational health assessments such as audiometric testing, vision screening, respirator fit testing, spirometry, and phlebotomy.
  • Participate in rotational 24/7 on‑call services, with potential for weekday overtime.
  • Manage front‑desk responsibilities including reception, data entry, donor registration, result tracking, faxing, and copying.
  • May support mobile testing operations using the designated mobile unit/truck.
  • May coordinate service bookings by promptly responding to requests, making outbound calls to arrange occupational testing, and accurately documenting all communications.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality standards for all client information and records.
  • Bring ideas and initiatives to help us grow and innovate.
  • Collaborate with team members to solve problems and improve processes.
What YOU bring to the role:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Current Audiometric, Spirometry and/or Phlebotomy Technician Certificate preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience in health‑related field is an asset.
  • Ability to travel to other local collection sites as required.
  • Willing to obtain certification as a DOT Collector with BAT Certification.
  • Able to be on‑call during evenings and weekends (reliable transportation is a must)
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, at a level that enables you to communicate instructions, clearly and understandably.
Working Conditions:
  • In‑office clinical testing work environment, with the ability to travel to other local collection sites as required.
