Halton District School Board seeks RECE/DECEs to provide a high-quality, play-based before and after school program for children aged 3.8 to 12 years. You will implement the Ministry guidelines, ensuring safety and development aligned with the Ontario pedagogy and regulatory acts.
The role may include supply coverage across multiple HDSB sites with mornings and/or afternoons during the 10-month school year. First aid training is provided if required.

Salary Range:In accordance with Collective Agreement
Work Schedule/Shifts:10 month/ year (September to June) - as required
Mornings 6:45 am to 10:15 am / 6:45 am to 2:15 pm
Afternoons 2:45 pm to 6:15 pm / 10:45 am to 6:15pm
Effective Date: Immediately
Eligible Applicants looking to apply to the Extended Day Program Occasional DECE/RECE Pool are current DECE Occasional Staff and external applicants. If successful, applicants will be placed on the Extended Day Program supply list.
First Aid training will be provided if required.
This position will require RECE/DECEs to provide both a professional and a high quality play based licensed before and after school program that meet the needs of children 3.8 to 12 years of age, as well as develop and implement a program based on the Ministry of Education How Does Learning Happen? Ontarios Pedagogy for the Early Years document while adhering to the regulations and mandates of the Child Care and Early Years Act.
This position may require RECE/DECEs to provide supply coverage in both the extended day before and after school program and the full day kindergarten program.
