Northern Health is seeking an experienced Nursing Unit Clerk to support the Nursing department in Prince George. Under supervision, the Nursing Unit Clerk performs clerical duties such as transcribing physicians' orders, coordinating with departments, arranging tests and receiving results, answering phones, and maintaining patient charts.
Certification as a Nursing Unit Clerk is required. Shifts include evenings and nights (15:00–23:00, 23:00–07:00) on a rotating schedule; candidates need Grade
Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed Nursing Unit Clerk to support the Nursing department.
In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, the Nursing Unit Assistant performs a variety of clerical duties related to the operation of a care area. These duties include acting as a communication link for the Unit by transcribing and processing physicians' orders, communicating with other departments and hospitals, coordinating appointments, arranging tests and receiving results, receiving and directing visitors, answering telephones, assembling and maintaining charts, and performing keyboarding and data entry responsibilities.
Nursing Unit Clerk certification is required for this position.
Evenings, Nights - 15:00 to 23:00, 23:00 to 07:00, Rotating
