Fraser Health in British Columbia is seeking a Sterile Supply Processing Attendant to support the Operating Room by cleaning, decontaminating, sterilizing and distributing surgical instruments and supplies, and transporting equipment as required.
You will work under the Manager or designate, perform clerical duties, participate in the Departmental Quality Assurance program, and ensure safe, efficient handling of instruments from decontamination to storage.
The salary range for this position is CAD $30.67 - $30.67 / hour
Reporting to the Manager, Health Services or designate, cleans, decontaminates, assembles, sterilizes and distributes supplies, surgical instruments and related equipment for the Operating Room (OR); disassembles, cleans, washes and reassembles anaesthetic and related equipment as required; transports anaesthetic and surgical instruments and/or equipment to the assigned area and maintains equipment and supplies, as per established procedures; picks surgical supplies/instruments as per established procedure and/or physician's request; transports specimens and/or patients as needed; performs related clerical duties.
Grade 12, successful completion of Sterile Supply Processing Program, plus one (1) year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
