A healthcare organization seeks a Nurse Practitioner to join their Critical Care/CCU team at Sturgeon Community Hospital. The NP will provide comprehensive health services, integrate nursing and medical skills, and work collaboratively to enhance patient care quality. Required qualifications include a Master's degree in a Nurse Practitioner program and registration with the CRNA. This role involves a range of shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Critical Care/CCU team at the Sturgeon Community Hospital. The NP will work collaboratively within the team to delivery high quality care to our patients. This is an exciting opportunity for an NP who is wanting to expand their expertise in both cardiology and critical care.
As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems. Required Qualifications: Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program, with a minimum of a Master’s degree. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar, including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications: Recent experience in an Adult Critical Care/CCU setting. ACLS.
Preferred Qualifications: As required.
