Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Canada is seeking a dedicated Senior Registered Nurse to oversee patient care activities in the ward. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Nursing with relevant supervisory experience, ensuring high-quality and safe patient care. Comfortable with shift work, candidates with expertise in Gerontology, Orthopaedic, Neuroscience, or Palliative Care are preferred. This role requires a valid nursing certificate, and applicants should be open to working across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a hospital setting.
• 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Valid Registered Nurse practising certificate from Singapore Nursing Board.

Job description

Responsibilities

You are responsible for all activities related to patient care in the ward. You will ensure that the ward is operating with optimal resources and patient care is of high quality, safe and cost‑efficient. You will supervise the nurses’ clinical patient care activities and ensure that they uphold professional standards and code of ethics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing with post‑graduate qualifications in Gerontology, Orthopaedic, Neuroscience, Palliative Care or Community Nursing (preferred)
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in a hospital setting, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
• Candidate with less or more relevant work experience may be considered for an Assistant or Senior position respectively
• Experience in an ILTC setting is an advantage
• Valid Registered Nurse practising certificate issued by the Singapore Nursing Board
• Valid BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification
• Comfortable with shift work and open to deployment within two work sites under SingHealth Community Hospitals
