Job Details

Position: Nurse Aide

Location: 499 Hume Street, Collingwood, ON L9Y 3S2

Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week, full‑time, permanent employment. Shift days include morning, evening, night, weekend and flexible hours. Start date: As soon as possible.

Salary: $25.53 to $27.09 per hour (to be negotiated).

Responsibilities
  • Supply and empty bed pans
  • Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse
  • Serve meal trays and feed patients
  • Weigh, lift, turn and position patients
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms
  • Bathe, dress and groom patients
  • Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher
  • Answer call signals to determine patients' needs
  • Collect specimens
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations
  • Provide personal care
  • Provide companionship
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Administer bedside and personal care
  • Feed or assist in feeding
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
Qualifications
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non‑university certificate or diploma from a program of 1‑2 years or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Work setting: Willing to relocate; Nursing home/home for the aged. Work must be completed at the physical location; no remote option.
  • Security & safety: Criminal record check; Immunization records; Tuberculosis test; Reference required.
