Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) is seeking a Registered Nurse for a term, in-person position in Winnipeg. You will provide nursing care with emphasis on geriatrics and complex continuing care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support home visits and patient-centred goals.

Position Overview

Experience

• Recent related experience with chronic illness and chronic care management, geriatrics and complex continuing care and/or community nursing is required.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing educational program.
• Advanced preparation in gerontology would be an asset.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

• Responsible for maintaining and providing proof of registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
• Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and possess a vehicle to conduct home visits.

Physical Requirements

• Physical health to meet the requirements of the position.

This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
