GE Vernova Hitachi SMR Technologies Canada, Ltd. seeks an experienced Nuclear Security Leader to identify, implement and oversee regulatory and corporate requirements for information, personnel, and physical security at GVH facilities in Canada.
You will evaluate security requirements, establish access controls, manage background checks, and act as SPOC with customers to ensure compliance with CNSC and other regulations.
Job Description Summary: We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Security Leader to support the GE Vernova Hitachi (GVH) Small Modular Reactor (SMR) business in Canada. In this position you will identify, communicate, implement and oversee applicable regulatory and corporate requirements, standards, and processes related to information, personnel, and physical security at GVH facilities in Canada.
This position requires access to and/or use of information subject to U.S. Export Control Laws, which mandate all citizenships (including dual citizenships) be from the U.S. Department of Energy’s List of Generally Authorized Countries (10 CFR Part 810 Appendix A, which includes Canada and can be found here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-10/chapter-III/part-810/appendix-Appendix%20A%20to%20Part%20810) unless a specific authorization from the U.S. Department of Energy is obtained or unless you are a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, U.S. permanent resident, or protected individual under the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Act (8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)). You must have legal authorization to work in Canada and any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation. For candidates applying to a Canadian-based position, the pay range for this position is between $118K and $168K CAD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
