Job summary

NB Power's Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station seeks Security personnel for the Nuclear Response Team. Officers provide armed, tactical response and conduct security-related activities to protect personnel and assets on site.

Ideal candidates hold post-secondary education or Canadian Armed Forces experience, pass comprehensive screening, and can endure long shifts with physical demands. This role offers benefits and growth within NB Power's security program.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
• Complete and pass Aptitude & Psychological Testing
• Complete a competency-based interview
• Complete medical screening including hearing, vision and bloodwork
• Must hold a valid Firearms Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL) for both RESTRICTED and NON-RESTRICTED weapons
• Complete and pass Fitness Testing (Ontario Police Fitness Award PIN Program)

Responsibilities

• Patrol buildings, grounds, and fence lines; respond to alarms.
• Provide armed, tactical response to a station security threat.
• Search persons, packages, and vehicles to prevent entry of prohibited items.
• Monitor vehicle and personnel traffic per approved procedures.
• Operate surveillance video and intrusion detection equipment.
• Investigate incidents and prepare condition reports.
