Your Opportunity

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist I is responsible for providing the highest quality service to the clients of Diagnostic Imaging. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist I will perform imaging and non-imaging Nuclear Medicine studies using a variety of specialized equipment and procedures under the direction of a Radiologist. This is done in an effective, efficient and safe manner. As a member of the Diagnostic Imaging Team, this position is responsible for working all shifts assigned. The incumbent will participate in student teaching.

Description

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures for the diagnosis and tracking of disease and pathology.

As a NMT I, you will perform Nuclear Medicine procedures as described in the department procedure manual using a wide range of equipment such as gamma cameras, computers, ECG monitors, cardiac stress equipment, and radiation safety devices.

Required Qualifications

Completion of diploma from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).

Current BCLS-HCP required. Basic to intermediate computer skills are required.

Current TDG training is an asset. Demonstrated proficient organizational, technical, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Ability to work under pressure and in emergent situations. Demonstrated interest in continuing education and professional growth. Initiative, judgment, and concern for detail and accuracy. Demonstrated tact, courtesy, and professionalism with patients, staff and physicians.
